Marium Siddiqui is the founder and principal attorney of The Siddiqui Law Firm, PLLC, a Houston business-law practice serving privately held companies, real estate owners and investors, founders, professionals, and institutional transaction participants.
Marium’s transactional practice includes commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, asset and equity purchases, membership-interest transfers and buyouts, title and survey diligence, landlord- and tenant-side commercial leasing, property-management arrangements, and institutional refinance transactions. She also serves as Texas and U.S. counsel in secured and cross-border credit facilities, preparing authority and enforceability opinions, analyzing UCC perfection, coordinating collateral packages, and implementing lender-required entity and governance structures.
In ongoing outside-counsel relationships, she carries the company’s legal context from one matter to the next: using the ownership documents when negotiating a new investor’s rights, or the lease portfolio when evaluating an expansion.
She represents entrepreneurs and founders launching new ventures, as well as privately held and family-owned companies, multi-location operators, transportation, logistics, and warehousing businesses, technology companies, hospitality and restaurant businesses, commercial property owners and developers, professional practices, investors, and borrowers in institutional and SBA-supported financing transactions.
Her practice follows businesses through each stage of their development — from entity formation and initial ownership arrangements to governance, commercial contracts, leasing, acquisitions, financing, dispute resolution, ownership transitions, and succession planning. Whether representing a first-time founder or an established business, the focus remains the same: helping clients make informed decisions, document them properly, and build legal structures that support long-term operations rather than simply completing an individual transaction.

Marium also serves as lead counsel in commercial disputes involving contracts, fiduciary duties, ownership and governance, partnership and member conflicts, commercial leases, guaranties, lender compliance, construction and property issues, and first-party property insurance claims. Her litigation practice informs her transactional drafting: agreements are structured with attention to the arguments, ambiguities, evidentiary gaps, and enforcement problems that arise when business relationships deteriorate.
The combination is deliberate. Clients do not have to choose between a deal lawyer who understands the transaction and a litigator who understands the dispute. The same attorney who structures the entity, negotiates the lease, or drafts the operating agreement can identify where the document will hold—and where it must be strengthened before anyone signs it.
Education and Early Professional Development
Marium earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from The University of Texas at Austin in 2009. She received her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2012. During law school, she served as an Associate Editor of the Corporate Counsel Review, participated in the Board of Advocates’ alternative-dispute-resolution program, and competed through the Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution.
After law school, Marium joined JPMorgan Chase in Houston, where she worked from 2013 through 2016 as a KYC/AML Due Diligence Analyst and Quality Control Analyst. She conducted enhanced due diligence, regulatory-risk assessments, and quality-control review under BSA/AML, OCC, and OFAC frameworks. That experience inside a global financial institution continues to inform her approach to institutional finance, beneficial-ownership review, investor onboarding, sanctions and risk controls, and compliance-sensitive business structures.
Marium earned an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Houston Law Center in 2015. Her graduate tax training supports her work on entity selection, reorganizations, ownership transfers, executive compensation, succession, investment structures, and transactions requiring coordination among legal, tax, accounting, and finance professionals.
Career
Marium was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2012 and to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas in 2018.
Following her work at JPMorgan Chase, she entered private practice and in 2017 became a founding partner of the firm later known as Siddiqui & Do, PLLC. She developed a practice spanning business transactions, commercial real estate, finance, private-company advisory, litigation, and tax-informed planning. She now leads The Siddiqui Law Firm, PLLC as its founder and principal attorney.

Texas and U.S. counsel in secured, cross-border credit facilities for clients in the telecommunications and industrial and manufacturing sectors, with operations across the U.S., Mexico, and India and lenders including major U.S. and Canadian institutions — authority and enforceability opinions, UCC and collateral analysis, guaranties, and closing support.
Borrower’s counsel in eight-figure and larger refinances of commercial and multifamily investment properties, with SPE governance amendments, opinions, and closing execution.
Continuing counsel to a family-owned, multi-location recreation-venue operator across leases, expansion, operating and governance matters, contracts, and disputes.
The entity, governance, investment, intellectual-property, platform, subscription, privacy, and payment framework for an IP-intensive digital company.

Approach to Practice
Marium Siddiqui handles each matter personally, from the first assessment through drafting, negotiation, and closing or resolution. A business formation, a commercial lease, an acquisition, an estate plan, and a dispute are different problems, and each is documented for the circumstances in front of her rather than adapted from a form used for someone else.
Her drafting is informed by the disputes she has handled: unclear authority, incomplete exit terms, inconsistent documents, and records that do not show what happened. The result is built to hold up long after the matter closes, when a lender, a counterparty, a successor owner, or a court is the one reading it.
