Privacy Policy
Scope
This policy describes how The Siddiqui Law Firm, PLLC (“the firm”) handles information collected through slfpllc.com (the “site”). It does not govern information exchanged inside an attorney–client engagement, which is protected by professional duties that exceed anything in this policy.
Information the Site Collects
Information you submit. The inquiry/consultation form asks for: your name, email address, phone (optional), the general matter type, the names of other parties involved (optional — used for the firm’s conflict-of-interest check), a brief description of your matter, and how you heard about the firm. The form instructs you not to include confidential or sensitive details, and you should not.
Information collected automatically. The site uses Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics service. It collects aggregate usage data — pages visited, referrer, approximate region, device class — without cookies and without tracking identifiers that follow you across sites. Because the site sets no analytics cookies and engages in no cross-site tracking, no cookie-consent banner is required or shown. The site’s hosting infrastructure (Vercel) generates standard server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) for security and operations.
How Information Is Used
Submitted inquiries are used to evaluate your matter, run the firm’s conflict-of-interest check, and respond to you — typically within two to three business days. Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand what content is useful. The firm does not sell personal information, does not share it with third parties for their marketing, and does not use it for advertising.
Service Providers
The site and its inquiry workflow run on a small set of infrastructure vendors acting on the firm’s behalf: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Resend (transactional email — the acknowledgment message sent from the firm’s notify.slfpllc.com subdomain), Google Workspace (the firm’s email and document systems, where inquiries are received and stored), and GoDaddy (domain registration and DNS). Each processes only what its function requires.
Retention
Inquiry submissions that do not lead to an engagement are retained for 24 months and then purged, unless the firm is required to keep them longer (for example, for conflict-checking records). Engagement-related records are governed by the firm’s file-retention obligations under Texas rules, not this policy.
Your Choices & Rights
You may contact the firm to ask what inquiry information it holds about you or to request deletion of a non-engagement inquiry, using the consultation form or by phone. The firm honors such requests except where retention is legally required.
Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. The firm is exempt from the TDPSA’s consumer-rights provisions as a small business under the Act’s thresholds. The firm nonetheless follows the data-minimization practices described in this policy as a matter of professional discipline. The firm does not sell personal data within the meaning of the TDPSA.
Security
Information in transit to the site is encrypted (HTTPS). Inquiry submissions are delivered into the firm’s access-controlled systems. No internet transmission is perfectly secure; that is one more reason the form asks you not to send sensitive details before engagement.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and the firm does not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be posted on this page with a revised date.
